Zeliha KOCAK TUFAN, MD, Proffessor of ID &CM.
Born in Wedel, Germany (1977). Studied in Hacettepe University and Van Yuzuncu Yil University. Medical doctor, infectious diseases and clinical microbiology specialist. Lecturer in Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University, Faculty of Medicine. 
Prof. Tufan has worked as a trainee, researcher or observer on various subjects at various universities such as Leiden University (The Netherlands), Szeged University (Hungary) and Oxford University (England).  Her academic publications have been published in various international journals. Prof. Tufan was elected to the Council of Higher Education in January 2015 and to the Executive Board of The Council in November 2016. She has been working as the Coordinator of Commission of Foundation Universities and also Coordinator of Disabled Students Working Group. Also working within the Commission on Recognition and Equivalence, the Health Commission and the Education Commission. She is also among Board Members of Health Institutes of Turkey (TUSEB) and ÖSYM. She is married with two children, Ahmet & Huma.
