About Project

Academic, historical and cultural heritage has disappeared due to conflicts and wars in different regions of the world. Hundreds of scientists, whose studies are appreciated in the world of academia, are forced to flee their countries. Every single photo of the burned books of centuries-old university libraries were engraved in the minds of scientists and have become heartbreaking images for them, who believe that each book is a world itself. Hundreds of research projects were left unfinished; thousands of young people who were receiving higher education to fulfil their dreams were forced to leave their studies.

We become hopeful as we see scientists and students start a new life in Turkey and work in determination for their own dreams and the sake of humanity. Once we witness to see individuals resume their lectures and studies after escaping from ruined regions to different places, we get excited that the academic heritage in the Middle East could be protected and that they would continue their scientific lives after returning to their home countries in the future.

This project was prepared to support the dreams of the students and scientists, who were forced to flee their countries due to war conditions, in order to ensure that they resume their academic lives, and to make their voices heard.

Talking about the incomplete academic lives and destroyed science centers of the Middle East in different sides of the world and keeping them alive is an academic heritage that will be passed on the next generations.

What is lost does not belong only to the heritage of the Middle East but to all humanity, as well. The maintenance of scientific environment in the Middle East by promoting scientists and students will ensure the common future of humanity and the reconstruction of the ruined regions.
